Last Minute Cool Dorm Stuff for Guys

guys beddinglarge1

Everybody knows that dual function storage and cool, cozy bedding make a dorm room, right?

Ironically, if you are looking for dorm decorating ideas for a guy, not a girl, interesting stuff is hard to find.

Being a decorator-mom as I am, I had a hard time finding guys’ dorm bedding, storage and furniture for my son that would have any personality. I mean, I had gathered XL twin sheets- no sweat, but as far as nice dorm comforters and coverlets, I had to dig deeper. I guess, because guys are not as vocal as girls when it comes to their dorm rooms, they are being almost ignored by the retailers. Who cares if every guy’s room looks the same? Well, some of them do, just don’t say it.

After spending hours going through online stores, trade shows and catalogs, here are my latest finds:

  3. Great choices Marina except for the white sheets. ;) It’s not very easy to buy things for boys, what more with young guys, this post certainly makes things easy. I heart the functional storage! Proper organization of their stuff is very important, because they will be rooming in with another person.

    • Yes, white sheets are probably not a good choice for most of them but you would be surprised how neat some guys can be! I will make a picture of my son’s room at the dorm when I see him this Sunday. the storage we got at Mod Cloth is really cool and functional.
