  5. I would like to tell you my friend that Thanksgiving is a very special time of time of the year when all my family and friends come togethor and we give thanks for our day to day blessings everyone brings a covered dish and we eat and are very happy on that day we give thanks to god for all of our blessings, this year will be very different for us because my dad the Reverend Oscar Coney Jr. passed a few weeks ago and he will not be with us i am sad but i know now that he is and angel watching down on us, blessings to you and yours from my house to your house.

  6. The greatest memories I have of Thanksgiving are with my Mom. Sadly, we lost Mom in 2009 and she is missed dearly. It just isn’t the same without her. Loved getting up early in the morning and preparing the meal with her, oh the stories she would tell. The best part of the day was spending it with her and the next was spending the day with the family and friends who mean the most to us.

  7. I married in a large Italian family and I cook for no less than 6 a night normally 8. When we do Thanksgiving, I do all of the cooking and decorating. One of our traditions is telling everyone what they are thankful for this year. We discover that most of the time it is not just heart felt but some times we even get teary eyed.I try to get myself a head but it never fails I forget something. I have never had the time or the extra cash to buy a nice wreath and it would be perfect since I know this Thanksgiving I am expecting between 14 to 20 guests. I always decorate in fall colors and I was even lucky enough to find adorable fall colored leaf salt and pepper shakers. I think with what I have for decorations this wreath would fit in nicely.

    • Oh, you just described a beautiful holiday tradition. This is what I would like to do as well- share heart felt feelings…since there is so, so much to be thankful for. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for your share. Online business is sometimes lonely, and I love all my fans. Good luck with the contest!

I’d love to hang this wreath to welcome the family of 22 that will be here this year. Grandma may not make wreaths anymore but she still cooks and I am thankful for that! ;-) Thanks for the chance!

  15. Thanksgiving is absolutely one of my favorite holidays. I love that it is the beginning of the holiday season. I enjoy the cleaning, cooking, and decorating. I remember making pumpkin turkeys for centerpieces when I was in 1st grade. Then fast forward years later. My daughter was in 1st grade and I wasn’t hosting Thanksgiving that year. She had the day off school before Thanksgiving and I had heard many of her friends’ moms complaining about all the work they had to get done. I took 7 of her friends to my house for five hours. We beaded colored macaroni on yarn to make Indian necklaces. I taught them how to make apple turkeys. Then we made individual pumpkin pies from scratch. The girls took all their Thanksgiving items home to add to their families’ celebrations, their moms got time to do holiday prep work, and I got to share my love of the season with 8 little girls. It was a wonderful afternoon!

    • Terrie, thank you for sharing this beautiful story. When I hear things like that, I know that there is love and kindness in the world still, and some people, like yourself that make lives worth while. I am sure that the 8 little girls will always remember this day and one day do same to other 8 little girls. I am writing this and I feel inspired by your kindness. You know something that one can learn. Have a wonderful holiday and good luck winning.

  16. This year Thanksgiving means that i will have a chance to meet my in-laws. Recently married in alaska, we are back home in nebraska for the holidays. We will be traveling many miles that week in order to see my husband’s parents, brother, grandma, aunts and uncles, etc. My first big family Thanksgiving EVER! I am the child of of parents who are both the only children in their families so being with a big family will be a new experience which i am sure i will cherish forever and will provide with countless things to be thankful for.

  17. I would love to win this as it would look great on my front door.I have family and friends coming over this year. One friend just lost her husband of 36 years and I do not want her to be alone.Thanksgiving to me means being thankful for what you have be it friendships, material things,or spiritual clarity.

  18. I would love to win this for my front door. I adore Thanksgiving as it’s a time for family and counting all our blessings. We tend to forget about how blessed we are at times!

  19. I would be delighted to win this beautiful fall wrath.
Thanksgiving has and will always be special to me. My family always were together on Thanksgiving. My sisters and I planned out “Aunt” visits that follow before Christmas came. We would make special gifts for them, in return they gave us something no one can take away and that is the memories and all the cherished conversations we had. I have retired from work and moved from Western Nebraska to Atlanta Georgia to be close to our children and grandchildren, so that we can all make special memories of the time of the year. Our first Thanksgiving in Georgia, our son just came home from Afghanistan..we all went around the room to say what we were Thankful for. When all was said and done there were tears and many happy hugs that day.

  20. Thanksgiving is family time. Sometimes Thanksgiving weekend is the only weekend of the year I see some of my out of town family
