Valentine’s Day gifts are tricky. As much as we are not willing to give a gift that is corny or a cliche, best things in life that we all desire are quite ordinary.  So many people either overdo it with gifts or are lost not knowing what to do or what to give. To me Valentine’s Day is not about expensive gifts. Let humor be your friend. Part of being romantic  is to make someone smile. It can be a day as simple as time spent together, nice dinner at home or a small home project put away for a long time. Maybe even all of the above. If you choose a painting as a Valentine’s Day gift or a beautiful wall art piece, chances are they are going to stick, literally. Because so many people prefer dinner parties, let’s start right there

For romantic dinner at home

Set up the table. It does not have to be in the dining room. Use clues, such as door signs and stickers leading to the decorated dinner table. Use table scattered hearts to decorate your table. Bring more romance with wine glasses with candles.  It’s fair to say, if you can, make something yourself. We live in a highly disposable time,  so your gift will have more chances to be remembered if you put an effort making it. What if you are not good at making things?
